RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN RAFAEL PERMITTING THE LIMITED USE OF
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN CITY PARKS
WHEREAS, the San Rafael Municipal Code in Section 8.12.220(c) permits
the use of alcoholic beverages on public property upon adoption of a Resolution;
and
WHEREAS, the City Manager, or his appointed designee, may approve the
use of alcoholic beverages in City parks for weddings, picnics or parties; and
WHEREAS, the only exception being Boyd Park whereby the original grant
prohibits use of alcoholic beverages.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
San Rafael hereby permits the use of alcoholic beverages, upon the approval of
the City Manager or his designee, in all City parks, with the only exception
being Boyd Park.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify
that the foreoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a
regular meeting of the Council of said City held on Monday the
nineteenth
to wit:

AYES: COUNCILMEN: Jensen, Mulryan, Nixon and Mayor Bettini
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Miskimen
