RESOLUTION CONSENTING TO FORMATION
OF COUNTY SERVICE AREA
WHEREAS, County Service Area No. 26 is being proposed as a mechanism
for raising monies necessary for park acquisition and development; and
WHEREAS, the proposed County Service Area encompasses a portion of
the City of San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, County Service Area No. 26 would provide a direct recrea-
tional benefit to San Rafael residents; and
WHEREAS, State law requires consent of the City of San Rafael before
the Marin County Board of Supervisors can initiate proceedings to form the
County Service Area,
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that the San Rafael City Council does hereby
consent to the formation of County Service Area No. 26.
I, MARION A. GRADY, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify
that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted
at a regular meeting of the Council of said City on Monday, the 17th day of
May , 1976, by the following vote, to -wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Miskimen, Mulryan and Nixon
NOES: COUNCILMEN: Jensen and Mayor Bettini
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: done
