A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SIGNING
OF A LEASE OR AGREEMENT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL HEREBY RESOLVES as follows:
The MAYOR and CITY CLERK are authorized to execute, on behalf
of the City of San Rafael a lease or agreement with
COUNTY OF MARIN RE PATROLLING CHINA CAMP STATE PARK
A copy of which is hereby attached and by this reference made a part
hereof.
I, MARION A. GRADY, City Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced
and adopted at a REGULAR meeting of the City Council of said
City held on MONDAY the 21st _ day of JUNE
19 76 , by the following vote, to wit:

of 1976 by and between the MAR.IN COUNTY OPEN
SPACE DISTRICT, hereinafter referred to as "District"; CITY
OF SAN RAFAEL, hereinafter referred to as "City"; STATE PARK
FOUNDATION, hereinafter referred to as "Foundation"; and N.Y.
CAL CORPORATION, hereinafter referred to as "Corporation";
W I T N E S S E T H:

IN CONSIDERATION of the mutual promises and covenants
hereinafter contained, the parties hereto do hereby agree as
follows :
1. Foundation agrees to contract with certain law
enforcement officers for the patroling of that certain property
described as "Exhibit 'A"' attached hereto aid by this reference•
incorporated herein, during their off -duty -hours for the purposes
of excluding unauthorized persons and vehicles from such
property.
Such agreement shallprovide that the officers shall
patrol the property no less than 72 hours per week, be reimbursed
at a certain rate, such agreement to commence April 24, 1976 and
terminate September 10, 1976. Each party to this agreement shall
contribute not more than 1/4 of the costs currently estimated
to be $12,000. Corporation, District and City shall contribute
their respective shares or portions thereof upon demand by foundation.
2. District agrees to furnish signs for the property
prohibiting access to said property by unauthorized persons and
vehicles.
3. It is understood and agreed by the parties hereto
that the individuals whose employment is contemplated hereunder
so
shall be agents of Foundation and not be agents of any other
parties to this agreement.
