RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF AN
ENGINEERING AND FINANCIAL FEASIBILITY REPORT
AND A DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT TO
THE DEPARTMENT OF NAVIGATION AND OCEAN DEV-
ELOPMENT ALONG WITH A REQUEST FOR FINANCING
A MARINA IN THE AMOUNT OF $6,229.400
WHEREAS, there is a need for improved public access
to the San Pablo Bay and the San Rafael Canal; and
WHEREAS, greater recognition should be given to the
San Rafael Canal and bayfront as invaluable assets;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that
1. The City Council accept the Feasibility Study
for San Rafael Marina, dated June, 1976, and convey same to
the Department of Navigation and Ocean Development, (DNOD).
2. The draft Environmental Impact Report, (EIR), shall
also be conveyed to DNOD and to the State Clearing House,
Office of the Governor.
3. The City Council recognizes that in conveying
these documents, it is committing the community to progres-
sive steps toward the development of a 600 berth marina plus
improvements and amenities as diagramed in the Feasibility
Study.
4. The City Council further requests a construction
loan in the amount of $6,229,400.
5. The foregoing is in recognition of debt service
which begins in the fifth year at $14,600 and rises to a maxi-
mum of $403,200 in the eleventh and subsequent years. This
debt service is to be paid from the gross annual revenue esti-
mated at $612,000.
I, MARION A. GRADY, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and
regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the
Council of said City held on Monday , the 21st day of
June , 1976 , by the following vote, to -wit:
