RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
WITHDRAWING A PORTION OF THE SAN RAFAEL MEADOWS ANNEXATION TERRITORY
FROM THE MARIN COUNTY LIGHTING DISTRICT
OR ^
WHEREAS, as of November 4, 1975, the proposition of
whether or not the individuals included within the San Rafael
Meadows Annexation should annex to the City of San Rafael was
placed before the registered voters in that area; and
WHEREAS, the vote was an affirmative action to annex
to the City of San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, the proper action to annex the properties con-
tained within the San Rafael Meadows Annexation has been enacted
by the City Council of the City of San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, a portion of the territory annexed is included
within the Marin County Lighting District; and
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City of San Rafael
to withdraw that particular territory from that District;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of San Rafael as follows:
1. The area within the San Rafael Meadows Annexation
contained within the Marin County Lighting District is to be with-
drawn from said District;
2. The effective date of this withdrawal shall be
June 30, 1976;
3. The Lighting District be responsible for the cost of
lighting until June 30, 1976;
4. Proper notification be given to the Marin County
Board of Supervisors, Marin County Assessor, and the State Board
of Equalization of this action.
I, MARION A. GRADY, Clerk of the City of San Rafael
hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and reg-
ularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council
of said City held on the 1st day of December 1975,
by the following vote, to -wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Jensen, Miskimen, Mulryan, Nixon and
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None Mayor Bettini
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None
