A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SIGNING
OF A LEASE OR AGREEMENT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL HEREBY RESOLVES as follows:
The MAYOR and CITY CLERK are authorized to execute, on behalf
of the City of San Rafael a lease or agreement with
Joint Powers Agreement with the County f Marin relevant to
the Special Census.
A copy of which is hereby attached and by this reference made a part
hereof.
I, MARION A. GRADY, City Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced
and adopted at a
regular meeting of the City Council of said
City held on Monday the 2nd _ day of February
19 76 , by the following vote, to wit:

AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT, entered into as of this day of February, 1976, between
the City of San Rafael (hereafter called the "City") and the County of Marin
(hereafter called the "County").
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the City, having entered an agreement with the California Department
of Finance to have a special census enumeration of the incorporated and unin-
corporated portions of the entire San Rafael Planning Area (as displayed on
Exhibit A) conducted during March 1976, requested from the County a contribution
of $5,000.00 for that census; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors on January 6, 1976 agreed to make a contribution
of $5,000.00 as requested by the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto do mutually agree as follows:
1. The City will furnish to the County Planning Department one copy
of all data, information, and computer print-outs for the entire
area covered by the enumeration which will be produced as a result
of the 1976 special census within one week after such material
becomes available to the City.
2. The census Supervisor and the City Co -Supervisor will determine
and record all wage, administrative and card processing costs of
the enumeration in the unincorporated portion of the Planning
Area, this amount to represent the County's share of the total
cost of the census.
3. Upon receipt of a copy of these official computer results and a
statement from the City of the amount due, the County shall pay
to the City its share as described above, not to exceed $5,000.00.
Said sum will be transmitted to State by City.
