A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL REQUESTING THE MARIN
COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO AUTHORIZE THE COUNTY CLERK
TO RENDER SERVICES REGARDING THE SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION
ON TUESDAY JUNE 8 , 1976 .
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael
intends to hold an election on Tuesday, June 8, 1976 , and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 22003 of the Elections Code, the
Citv of San Rafael
may request the Board of Supervisors
to permit the County Clerk to render specified services to City of
San Rafael relating to the conduct of the elec-
tion on a reimbursable basis;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY the City of San Rafael
as follows:
1. That the Board of Supervisors of the County of Marin is here-
by requested to authorize the County Clerk to render the following specified
services for
City of San Rafael
relating to the conduct of the Special Municipal election to be held on
Tuesday, June 8 , 1976.
Voter indexes
Voter count by precinct
Polling place cards
Drayage and rental of polling place equipment
Stuffing and mailing of sample ballots and inserts
Printing of sample and official ballots
Printing of measure and arguments
Appointment and notification of election officers
Rental of precinct polling places
Procurement of precinct supplies
Training of precinct workers
Processing of absentee ballots
Canvass of votes cast.
2. That the City Clerk of the City of San Rafael
be and is hereby ordered and directed to file a copy of this resolution with
the Board of Supervisors of the County of Marin.
The foregoing resolution was duly introduced and passed at a
regular meeting of the San Rafael City Council
held in Council Chambers on the 1st day of March, 1976,
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Jensen, Miskimen, Mulryan and Mayor Bettini
NOES COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Nixoniu��
