RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MAYOR TO SIGN AGREEMENTS WITH DEVELOPERS
FOR DEFERRAL OF INSTALLATION OF LANDSCAPING AND IRRIGATION SYSTEMS
WHEREAS, the Marin Municipal Water District has passed
Ordinance 152 which prohibits the use of sprinkler systems for
irrigation; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 76-2 of the San Rafael Planning
Commission provides for holder of planning permits to post cash
or a performance bond with the City in lieu of the installation
of the required landscaping and irrigation systems prior to
Occupancy Permits being issued by the City; and
WHEREAS, during the water shortage numerous contracts
of a very similar nature between the City and developers, home
builders, or people seeking Use Permits will be prepared;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Mayor C. PAUL BETTINI,
or, in his absence, Vice President of the Council LAWRENCE E. MULRYAN,
be authorized to sign contracts of the above nature without individual
Resolutions on each contract.
I, MARION A. GRADY, City Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a Regular - meeting of the City Council
of said City held on Monday the 19th day of July ,
1976, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Jensen, Miskimen, Mulryan and Mayor Bettini
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Nixon
