A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN RAFAEL APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR COUNTY
LOCAL PARK AND RECREATION ASSISTANCE MONIES
BAYFRONT PARK (PICKLEWEED PARK EXPANSION)
WHEREAS, The Marin County Board of Supervisors have
approved a Local Park and Recreation Assistance Program, which
provides funds to local jurisdictions for the acquisition and development
of park and recreation facilities; and
WHEREAS, the County has set up the necessary procedures
governing fund applications by local agencies; and
WHEREAS, said procedures require the applicant to certify
by resolution the approval of application prior to submission to the
County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City
Council hereby:
1. Approves the filing of an application for 1976-1977
fiscal year Local Park and Recreation Assistance
Funds for the above named.
2. Appoints WILLIAM J. BIELSER, City Manager, as
Agent of City to act as contact person for purposes
of this project.
I, MARION A. GRADY, City Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council
of said City held on Monday the 2nd day
of August 1976, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Miskimen, Nixon and Mayor Bettini
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Jensen and Mulryan
