RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT OF THE MARIN COUNTY
AMERICAN REVOLUTION BICENTENNIAL COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the Marin County Board of Supervisors has appointed a
Marin County American Revolution Bicentennial Commission which includes
representatives of Marin County's eleven cities, to plan, oroanize and
coordinate in the County of Marin the commemoration of the epochal period
of the American Revolution; and
WHEREAS, the Marin County American Revolution Bicentennial Commission
is planning observances beginning in September of 1974 and continuing through
the end of the year 1976 in accordance with the three themes selected by the
National American Revolution Bicentennial Administration.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City Council of San Rafael, hereby
declares its support of the activities of the Marin County American Revolution
Bicentennial Commission and urges the participation of all San Rafael resi-
dents in this county -wide celebration of the 200th anniversary of our
country's birth.
I, MARION A. GRADY, City Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced
and adopted at a regular meetinq of the City Council of said City held
on Monday , the 5th day of May 1975, by the
followinq vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Miskimen, Mulryan, Nixon and Mayor Bettini
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Jensen
