RESOLUTION CONSENTING TO FORMATION
OF COUNTY SERVICE AREA
WHEREAS, County Service Area No. 23 is being proposed as a
mechanism for raising monies necessary for open space acquisition
and maintenance of approximately 820 acres of ridge and upland
greenbelts, and
WHEREAS, the proposed County Service Area encompasses a por-
tion of the City of San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, County Service Area No. 23 would provide a direct
recreational benefit to San Rafael residents; and
WHEREAS, State law requires consent of the City of San Rafael
before the Marin County Board of Supervisors can initiate proceed-
ings to form the County Service Area,
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, that the San Rafael City Council
does hereby consent to the formation of County Service Area No -23.
I, MARION A. GRADY, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly in-
troduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said
City on Monday, the 19th day of May, 1975, by the following vote,
to -wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Jensen, Miskimen, Mulryan, Nixon and Mayor
Bettini
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None
