RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
TO
CHARLES L. TACCHI
WHEREAS, on the 14th day of May, 1975 CHARLES L. TACCHI voluntarily
submitted his resignation as a member of the Parks and
Recreation Commission after twelve years of conscientious
and dedicated service to the City of San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, in recognition of COMMISSIONER TACCHI's Leadership qualities
seven and one-half of these many years were served in the
capacity as Chairman of this Commission; and
WHEREAS, COMMISSIONER TACCHI was instrumental in the planning and
development of Victor Jones Park, Santa Margarita Valley Park,
and Maria B. Freitas Memorial Park, as well as the new Com-
munity Recreation Center presently under construction at
Albert Park; and
WHEREAS, COMMISSIONER TACCHI has also taken a very active interest in
the creation of numerous recreation programs and facilities
for both the present and future enjoyment of all age groups
throughout the community;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
San Rafael hereby accepts the resignation of CHARLES L. TACCHI
and extends to him wholehearted appreciation for a generous
contribution of time and effort from both his business and
private life for the betterment of his fellow man.
I, MARION A. GRADY, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced
and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said City on
Monday , the 7th day of July 1975, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Jensen, Miskimen, Mulryan and Mayor Bettini
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Nixon
