A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN RAFAEL DECLARING THE POSITION
OF POLICE LIEUTENANT AS MANAGEMENT
WHEREAS, the San Rafael Police Officers Association has traditionally
represented the position of Police Lieutenant; and
WHEREAS, the four individuals presently classified as Police Lieutenant
voted on whether to remain within the San Rafael Police Officers Association or
to be classified as Management Personnel; and
WHEREAS, an affirmative vote (4-0) was cast in favor of the position of
Police Lieutenant being classified as Management; and
WHEREAS, this information was relayed to the Employee Relations Officer
and to the San Rafael City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
San Rafael that the position of Police Lieutenant, in conformity with the discretion
by the individuals now occupying that position, hereby is deemed as Management
classification; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the salary range for Police Lieutenant is
hereby moved to the Unclassified Salary Resolution at a salary range of a mini-
mum of $1520 and maximum of $1675 per month.
I, MARION A. GRADY, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify
that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at
a regular meeting of the Council of said City on Monday ,
the 21st day of July , 1975, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Jensen, Miskimen, Mulryan, Nixon and Mayor Bettini
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None
