HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 4997RESOLUTION NO. 4997 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SIGNING OF A LEASE OR AGREEMENT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL HEREBY RESOLVES as follows: The MAYOR and CITY CLERK are authorized to execute, on behalf of the City of San Rafael a lease or agreement with Marin Senior Coordinating Council for renewal of Senior Citizens agreement A copy of which is hereby attached and by this reference made a part hereof. I, MARION A. GRADY, City Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of said City held on Monday the 21st _ day of July 19 75 , by the following vote, to wit: AYES: COUNCILMEN: Jensen, Miskimen, Mulryan, Nixon and Mayor Bettini NOES: COUNCILMEN: None ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None MARION A. GRADY - City Clerk AGT'FL`:F.NT This agreement, made and entered into tM3 day of , 1975, by and between the P'arin Serlob Coordinating Cotincil, Inc., a non-profit corporation, hereafter referred to as "Council," and the City of San 7afael, hereafter referred to as "City". FI:C: TALQ 1111EP'FAS, City and Council are mutually desirous of provi- ding recreational services for senior citi^ens of San 17afael. WIMSSETH For and in consideration of the mutual promises, covenants and conditions hereinafter contained, the parties hereto agree as follows: 1. Council shall provide the facilities and housing to provide a recreational nrogram for senior O tizens. 2. Council scall provide limited transportation as necessary to programs ani srecial events. 3. Council shall provide said proerarn at least five (5) days per week. 4. Council. shall have complete control, responsibility and supervision of said recreation program and recreation costs. All personnel staffing the program shall be employees of the a. Council and City shall have no direction, control or responsibi- lity over stid emrloyees. 11. Council shall be responsible for providing all equip- ments material and personnel necessary for operation of said recreational program, and for the organization, promotion and conductinC of said program. Council does, however, agree to use its best reasonable effort to staff the program with San Rafael resident senior citizens. E. City shall pay the Marin Senior Coordinating Council, Inc. the total sizm of :20,000.00 twelve (12) monthly install - rents of �1,G66.66 payable on the tenth day of each month. 1 A 7.
