HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 5027RESOLUTION NO. 5027 RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION TO CITIZENS' ADVISORY COMMITTEE WHEREAS, the San Rafael City Council was presented with a re- quest from Tele-Vue Systems, Inc. for a comprehensive rate alteration for its cable television subscribers; and WHEREAS, this request reflected no increase in service levels while the technology and, hence, the capabilities of cable television has greatly increased; and WHEREAS, the San Rafael City Council, in recognition of the community's interest in this subject and also in recognition of the need for special expertise in this area, appointed the Citizens' Advisory Com- mittee on Cable Television; and WHEREAS, this Committee was charged with the development of a cable system indigenous to the needs of the community with rates commen- surate with the service; and WHEREAS, this Committee has diligently pursued those goals voiced by the City Council and has made comprehensive recommendations on both services and rates for cable subscribers within San Rafael; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the San Rafael City Council that appreciation is extended to each and every member of the Citizens' Advisory Committee for their assistance to the City Council and all cable subscribers; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the benefits of the Citizens' Advi- sory Committee's recommendations shall stand as an example of cable system design responsive to community needs in the fields of local origination, education and government. I, MARION A.
