RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF REPAYMENT CONTRACT WITH THE SAN RAFAEL
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY TO PROVIDE $500,000 TOWARDS THE COST OF
ACQUISITION OF LAND FOR AND DEVELOPMENT OF A COMMUNITY
RECREATION CENTER
WHEREAS, it was the understanding of the City that the San Rafael
Redevelopment Agency would assist the City financially in acquiring land for
and developing a community recreation facility to be located within the Central
San Rafael Redevelopment Project Area; and,
WHEREAS, with this understanding the City has commenced acquisition of land
and will shortly begin the development of the Center;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor is authorized to enter into
an appropriate repayment contract with the San Rafael Redevelopment Agency which
will provide that the Agency shall contribute $500,000 towards the acquisition of
land for and development of a community recreation facility to be located adjacent
to Albert Park.
I, MARION A. GRADY, City Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify
that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a
regular meeting of the City Council of said City held on the 15th day of
April , 1974, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Jensen, Miskimen, Mulryan, Nixon and Mayor Bettini.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None.
