RESOLUTION ORDERING CLOSING, ABANDONING
AND VACATING VARIOUS EASEMENTS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Rafael on the 6TH
day of MAY , 19ft 74, adopted Resolution No. 4710
entitled RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE VARIOUS EASEMENTS; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution was posted as required by law; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works of the City of San Rafael,
California, conspicuously posted notices of easement vacation as required by law;
and
WHEREAS, a hearing was had this day as required by law and said
Resolution No. 4710 , at which hearing the Council of the City of San
Rafael heard evidence offered by persons interested; and
WHEREAS, it appears from all of the evidence submitted that the
following described easements are unnecessary for present or prospective
public use;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED as follows:
1. That the following described easements are unnecessary for
present or prospective public use;
2. That the following described easements are hereby ordered
closed, abandoned and vacated;
3. That the easements closed, abandoned and vacated are described
on Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
I, MARION A. GRADY , Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and
adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of San Rafael held
on the 3RD day of JUNE , 190:74 , by the following vote,
to -wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN : Jensen, Miskimen, Mulryan, Nixon and Mayor Bettini
NOES: COUNCILMEN : None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN : None

DESCRIPTION OF EASEMENT TO BE ABANDONED
OVER PORTION OF LOTS E AND F
MAP OF EAST SAN RAFAEL
An Easement 20 feet in width for the construction and maintenance
of a Levee described as follows:
Beginning at a point distant S 541421E 70.00 feet and N 35118'E
97.00 feet from the most Westerly corner of Lot E as said Lot is
shown upon that certain map entitled "Map of East San Rafael,
Marin County, California" filed January 21, 1908, in Book 2 of
Maps at Page 109, Marin County Records, and running thence from
said point of beginning S 46100'E 60.697 feet (called 61.0 feet
more or less), N 35118'E 17.021 feet, S 49106'E 60.288 (called
60.37 feet), S 351181W 5.047 feet, and S 551441E 110.018 feet to
a point on the Sot-it.heasterl.y line of that ccrtai n parcel conveyed
to Maurice P. and DaiL�ey Koch by clecd recorded in Poo k 1530
Official Records at Page 250, Marin County Records, running thence
along said line S 351181W 20.003 feet, thence leaving said line
N 551441W 11.0.018 feet, N 35118'E 4.954 feet, N 49106'W 60.288'
feet, S 35118'W 17.157 feet, N 461001W 60.697 feet, and N 35118'E
20.232 feet to the point of beginning.
The above described Easement combines and covers those Easements
recorded in Book 1092 0. R. Pages 447, 449, 451 and 453, Book 1178
0. R. Page 437 and Book 1178 0. R. Page 439 Marin County Records.
