RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael desires to undertake a certain
project designated as Marin Drug Enforcement Development Program to be
funded in part from funds made available through the Omnibus Crime Control
and Safe Streets Act of 1968, PL 90-355, as amended PL 91-644 (hereafter
referred to as the Safe Streets Act) administered by the California Council
on Criminal justice (hereafter referred to as CCCJ);
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the
City of San Rafael was authorized, on behalf of the City Council, to sub-
mit the attached Application for Grant for Law Enforcement Purposes to CCCJ
and is authorized to execute on behalf of the City of San Rafael the attached
Grant Award Contract for law enforcement purposes including any extensi ons
or amendments thereof;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the applicant agrees to provide
all matching funds required for said project (including any extension or
amendment thereof) under the Safe Streets Act and the rules and regulations
of CCCJ and the Law Enforcement Assistance Administration and that cash
will be appropriated as required thereby„
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that grant funds received hereunder
shall not be used to supplant on-going law enforcement expenditures.
