RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION TO JEAN KELLY
WHEREAS, in recognition of its 100th Birthday the City of San Rafael
held its "CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION 1874-1974" from May l7th
to May 26th, 1974; and
WHEREAS, the unique success of this memorable occasion must in great
part be attributed to the untiring efforts of the Program
Chairman JEAN KELLY who voluntarily contributed both her
valuable time and talents to organize and coordinate the
many outstanding educational and cultural activities which
took place during this event; and
WHEREAS, through her contagious enthusiasm, the entire community was
motivated into participation - from the very young children
who were taught the importance of their heritage, to our
many senior citizens who experienced great joy by reflect-
ing their memories of the past;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Council of
the City of San Rafael do hereby express sincere gratitude
and thanks to this remarkable lady, JEAN KELLY, whose leader-
ship and creativity were so instrumental in making San
Rafael's "CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION 1874-1974" such a meaning-
ful, entertaining and commemorative festivity.
I, MARION A. GRADY, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify
that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and
adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said City on
Monday the 3rd day of June ,1974, by the following vote,
to wit:
