RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
TO
CARL SE LBY
WHEREAS, on the 30th day of June 1974, CARL SELBY
will retire from the service of the City of San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, during his twenty-three year career as an
officer of the San Rafael Police Department, CARL SELBY has
conscientiously and diligently performed his assigned duties with
the utmost concern for the safety and welfare of the citizens of
this community; and
WHEREAS, CARL SELBY, during his tenure as Police
Sergeant and later as Warrant Inspector, has consistently dis-
played diplomacy and tact while in no was sacrificing effective en-
forcement of the City's ordinances.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council
of the City of San Rafael expresses sincere appreciation for those
many years of faithful and devoted service and extends to him best
wishes for a happy and healthy retirement beginning the first day
of July 1974.
This resolution shall take effect forthwith upon its adoption
and the several compensations and allowances herein provided shall be
in full force and effect as of and from July 1, 1974.
I, MARION A. GRADY, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said
City on Monday, the first day of July, 1974, by the following vote,
to -wit:
AYES COUNCILMEN: Jensen, Miskimen, Mulryan, Nixon and
Mayor Bettini
NOES COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT COUNCILMEN: NONE
