A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SIGNING
OF A LEASE OR AGREEMENT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL HEREBY RESOLVES as
fol lows :
The MAYOR and CITY CLERK are authorized to execute,
on behalf of the City of San Rafael a lease or agreement with
COUNTY OF MARIN
a copy of which is hereby attached and by this reference made a
part hereof.
1, MARION A. GRADY , Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a REGULAR meeting of the
Council of said City held on MONDAY the 15TH
day of JULY 19 74 _, by the following vote, to -wit:
AYES: Councilmen: Jensen, Mulryan, Nixon and Acting Mayor Miskimen
NOES: Councilmen: None

(AGREEMENT WITH COUNTY OF MARIN EXTENDING JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREE-
MENT TO DECEMBER 31, 1975 - SOUTH SAN PEDRO ROAD WIDENING - PHASE IV)
AGREEMENT EXTENDING JOINT EXERCISE

WHEREAS, the COUNTY OF (,,ARI;, a political subdivision of the
State of California, hereinafter referred to as "County'', and -the CITY
OF SAN RAFAEL, a municipal corporation of the State of California,
hereinafter referred to as "City', entered in -to a certain "JOINT EXERCISE
OF POWERS ACRE EkIENT" dated September 14, 1965, for the improvement of
a portion of "South San Pedro Road", which street is located partially
within the corporate limits of City and partially within the unincor-
porated area of County; and
WHEREAS, said JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREEMENT was extended
for a total period of four years, ending on June 30, 1974, by Agreements
dated March 24, 1970 and June 30, 1971; and
WHEREAS, the improvements intended by said Agreement have not
been fully completed; and
11HEREAS, the parties desire to have an Agreement in force
until all -construction is completed in order to provide for funding
and payments as necessary;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS AGREED as follows:
1. That certain section of South San Pedro Road from
Lochinvar Road to and including Riviera Drive, which is shown as 4th
Phase on Exhibit "A" to that JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREEMENT
described above, shall be completed pursuant to said JOINT EXERCISE
OF POWERS AGREEMENT.
2. That said JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREEMENT and
amendments thereto described above are hereby extended for an additional
period of one and one-half (1 1/2) years which period will end on
December 31, 1975.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused'their
duly authorized representatives to execute the within instrument this
day of , 1974.
