RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
ESTABLISHING PRIORITIES FOR THE ALLOCATION OF FUNDS PRO-
VIDED BY THE STATE BEACH, PARK, RECREATIONAL AND H[STORICAL
FACILITIES BOND ACT OF 1974
WHEREAS, funds are available through the State Beach, Park,
Recreational and Historical Facilities Bond Act of 1974 for local park
and recreation projects; and
WHEREAS, a priority list must be prepared by the County in
accordance with the above legislation; and
WHEREAS, Marin County's share of these fundsi, will be divided
on a basis of 50% to the County and 50% to the incorporated cities which
provide local park and recreation services; and
WHEREAS, each eligible local jurisdiction will receive an amount
proportionate to its population; and
WHEREAS, San Rafael is eligible for an amount of $129, 747.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of San Rafael
submits the following projects for inclusion in the County's priority list:
1. Albert Park - acquisition and development
2. Pickleweed Park acquisition and development
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of San Rafael approves
the County's priority list which will include the above projects, and
projects of other local jurisdictions.
I, MARION A. GRADY, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced
and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said City held on
Monday the 15th day of July ,
1974, by the following vote, to -wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Jensen, Mulryan, Nixon and Acting Mayor Miskimen
