HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 4830RESOLUTION NO. 4830 RESOLUTION OF AWARD OF CONTRACT WHEREAS, on the 28th day of August 1974, the City Clerk of the City of San Rafael did publicly open, examine and declare all sealed bids or proposals for doing the following work in said City, to wit: RESTORATION BOYD HOUSE SAN RAFAEL, CALIFORNIA PROJECT # 9173 in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor on file in the office of said City Clerk; and WHEREAS, the bid of JOSEPH E. REDMOND at the prices shown on the attached Exhibit "A" was and is the lowest and best bid for said work and said bidder is the lowest responsible bidder therefor; of NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby ORDERED AND RESOLVED that the bid JOSEPH E. REDMOND be and the same is hereby accepted and that the contract for said work and improvements be and the same is hereby awarded to said JOSEPH E. REDMOND at the prices shown on the attached Exhibit "A"; IT IS FURTHER ORDERED AND RESOLVED that any and all certified checks, cash or bond accompanying the bids of unsuccessful bidders be forthwith returned to them respectively; IT IS FURTHER ORDERED AND RESOLVED that the City Engineer is hereby authorized to extend the time for completion of the contract as set forth herein upon showing of good cause by the Contractor; IT IS FURTHER ORDERED AND RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk of said City be authorized and directed to execute a contract with JOSEPH E. REDMOND for said work and to return the bidders bond upon the execution of said contract. I, MARION A. GRADY, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said City on Tuesday the 3rd day of September , 1974, by the following vote, to -wit: AYES: COUNCILMEN: Jensen, Miskimen, Mulryan and Nixon, Mayor Bettini NOES: COUNCILMEN: None ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None MARION A. EXHIBIT A SCHEDULE OF CONTRACT COSTS: All work to be -done on a time and material basis, however, in no event shall payment be made in excess of the amounts set forth herein for General Contractor's Fixed Fee (Item A) and for Subcontract Costs (Item C). The General Contractor shall submit weekly vouchers for all labor and material costs incurred during the previous work week. These shall include his own costs and those of each of the subcontractors. Glass and Glazing 720.00 $43,675.00 City reserves the right to terminate any and all work in progress at any time it so desires. Contractor and Subcontractors shall be paid only that amount, which - has accrued on a time and material basis, as of the date work ceases.
