BACKGROUND: At the meeting of May 7, 2018, the City Council called for applications to fill one three- year term as the San Rafael Representative on the Marin County Commission on Aging from July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2021, due to the expiration of the term of the incumbent, Salamah Locks. The Marin County Commission on Aging is an advisory body to the Marin County Board of Supervisors. The Commission works closely with the Aging and Adult Services on behalf of Marin's older adults. One application was submitted to the City Clerk’s Office prior to the May 29, 2018 deadline: an application from the incumbent, Salamah Locks. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Reappoint Salamah Locks as the San Rafael Representative to the Marin County Commission on Aging for a three-year term to begin on July 1, 2018 and end on June 30, 2021.
