I served on a jury at the Marin Courthouse fairly recently, and that experience is part of what has inspired me to get involved. I also give back to my university, UCLA, by reading scholarship applications every year. In general, I would say that I make an effort to give back to any institution that supports me, whether that is a town, a school, or another type of organization List any civic organizations of which you are a member: Member of the League to Save Lake Tahoe Education: High School Diploma, Thousand Oaks High School Bachelor of Arts - History, UCLA Professional Intensive in Data Analysis, Codecademy *Please note: My resume is not entirely up-to-date. I started in a new position as Product Manager at Wyre, Inc, in March of last year, and have not yet updated my resume, (as I have not recently been searching for a new position.) Please accept my sincere apologies that my resume somewhat dated, and please don't hesitate to reach out if I can provide any additional information. Why are you interested in serving on a board or commission? While in high school and college, there were always a plethora of opportunities to get involved. Whether through student government, volunteer work, or other organizations, it was always easy to find a way to have a positive impact, and I took full advantage. (Band, student government, greek life, senior class giving committee, parents' day, new student welcome, etc.) Now that I'm an adult, I need to seek out those opportunities; they no longer just come to me. With this in mind, serving on a board or a commission will allow me to get involved again, and, will hopefully help me identify if there are any other areas that could benefit from my knowledge, expertise, and positive energy. Describe possible areas in which you may have a conflict of interest with the City: I have a cousin once removed (my father's cousin) who has occasionally been hired by Marin county for environmental impact studies, although I do not know if she has ever worked for the City of San Rafael specifically. I also have another cousin who is a homeowner in San Rafael.
