Resolution of Appreciation
Presented to
ERIC HOLM
WHEREAS, Eric Holm served on the Park and Recreation Commission for the City of San Rafael for eight
years, from 2010 to 2018; and
WHEREAS, Eric served in an advisory capacity to the City as a Parks and Recreation Commissioner and
had become the face of the Park and Recreation Commission, attending numerous park tours
and neighborhood events and taking great pride in representing the City of San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, Eric served under two Mayors, Albert J. Boro and Gary A. Phillips, several City
Councilmembers, and two City Managers, Nancy Mackle and Jim Schutz, and provided
advice to two Directors of Community Services, Carlene McCart and Susan Andrade-Wax,
during his tenure; and
WHEREAS, Eric’s love of lacrosse, sailing, and baseball helped him play an instrumental role in bringing
back the community’s love of baseball with the San Rafael Pacifics, and he was supportive of
their establishment from the beginning; and
WHEREAS, Eric provided advice and insight in relation to a variety of projects and initiatives, which
included major improvements to the Terra Linda Community Center Pool and Victor Jones
Park Playground, the revitalization of the City’s Beach Park through a lease agreement with
Terrapin Crossroads, the proposed renovation of the Albert Park Playground, and upgrades
to many neighborhood parks, as well as other Measure A park-related projects.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby expresses its heartfelt appreciation for
Eric Holm’s service on the Park and Recreation Commission.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of San Rafael held this 3rd day
of December 2018.
