The Board of Trustees as elected drew lots for the term of office with the
following results:
Sidney V. Smith, Sr. I year
J. B. Rice 2 years
A. W. Taleaferro 1 year
William J. Miller 3 years
Jacob Short 2 years
They met at the Mechanics Institure Building and were sworn in by R. K. Reston
a Notary Public.
Hepburn Wilkins was appointed Town Clerk. -
William Francis Waite was appointed Town Marshal.
R. K. Weston was appointed Treasurer.
The first business was the consideration of a petition to control animals
in the town.
