RESOLUTION OF AWARD OF CONTRACT
WHEREAS, on the 2nd day of ;eptember , 1971 , pursuant to
due and legal notice published in the manner provided by law, inviting sealed
bids or proposals for the work hereinto mentioned, as more fully appears from
the affidavit of publication thereof on file in the Office of the City Clerk
of the City of San Rafael, California, the City Clerk did publicly open,
examine and declare all sealed bids or proposals for doing the following
work in said City, to -wit;
PROJECT NO. WS -Calif -358
SANITARY SEWER RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT
in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor on file in the
Office of said City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, the bid of MAGGIORA and GHILOTTI, INC.
at the prices stated in its bid was and is the lowest and best bid for said
work and said bidder is the lowest responsible bidder therefor; and
WHEREAS, the award of contract is subject to MAGGIORA and GHILOTTI, INC.
complying with all the requirements of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development as said requirements apply to the contract for the duration of
the project; and
WHEREAS, said award of contract is further contingent to
MAGGIORA and GHILOTTI, INC. performing the work under the contract in such
a manner so as to in no way jeopardize the sewer grant funds available to
the City from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for said
project;
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby ORDERED AND RESOLVED that the bid of
MAGGIORA and GHILOTTI, INC.
be and the same is hereby accepted at said prices and that the contract for
said work and improvements be and the same is hereby awarded to said
MAGGIORA and GHILOTTI, INC.
at the price mentioned in said bid and subject to the above stated conditions;
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED AND RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk
of said City be authorized and directed to execute a contract with
MAGGIORA and GHILOTTI, INC.
for said work and to return the bidders bond upon the execution of said
contract.
I, MARION A. GRADY, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced
and adopted at a regular _ meeting of the Council of said City
held on Monday ` the 4th day of October, 1971,
by the following vote, to -wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Jensen, Miskimen, Mulryan and Mayor Bettini
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Barbier
