RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION
PHILLIP D. GREEN
WHEREAS, on the morning of April 14, 1972, PHILLIP D. GREEN
unselfishly risked his life and safety in performance
of his duties as Police Lieutenant for the San Rafael
Police Department; and
WHEREAS, as a result of this outstanding courageous action; and
with full and unquestionable knowledge of the dangers
involved, Lieutenant Green suffered serious injury.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council with admiration and sincere
gratitude hereby commend Police Lieutenant Phillip
Green for his heroic and unselfish commitment on be-
half of the citizens of San Rafael.
I, MARION A. GRADY, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and re-
gularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Coun-
cil of said City held on Monday, the 17th of April 1972, by the
following vote, to -wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Barbier, Jensen, Miskimen, Mulryan and Mayor
Bettini
