City Engineer, of the City of San Rafael, Califo:r_ia, presented to the City
Council of said City and filed with the City Clerk- thereof, Plans and Specifi-
cations entitled TRAFFIC SIGNAL SYSTEM
INTERCONNECTION AND IMPROVEMENT
TOPICS PROJECT T3072 (22)
and WHEREAS, said City Council has examined and considered said plans and specifi-
cations and the same appear to be in all respects correct and proper;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY ORDERED AND RESOLVED that said plans and specifi-
eatio-as be and the same are hereby approved as the official plans and specifi-
cations for doing said work;
IT IS HEREBY FU:ii'RER ORDERED AND RESOLVED, that the City Clerk. of said City b..�
and he is hereby authorized and directed to cause to be published in a mar—nor
provided by law a notice inviting sealed proposals for doing said cork, which
said notice shall contain amonv other things required by law, a statement of the
time and place hereby fixed and appointed for opening, examining and declarino-
said proposals, to -wit: 10:00 o'clock A.M. on Friday, the 26th day of
May, 1972 in the City Clerk's Office of said City,
in the City Hall, 1400 Fifth Avenue, Room 204, in said City.

NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS FOR PUBLIC WORK, VIZ:
TRAFFIC SIGNAL SYSTEM
INTERCONNECTION AND IMPROVEIENT

Notice is hereby given that the City of San Rafael, Marin County, California
will receive bids for furnishing all labor, materials, transportation, and
services for the TR -AF -FIC -SIGNAL SYSTFtt --
INTERCONNECTION AND IMPROVEMENT

Each bid shall be in accordance with the specifications and other contract
documents now on file with the City Clerk, City Hall, San Rafael, California;
and they may be examined and copies may be obtained at the Office of the City
Treasurer at City Hall, San Rafael, California upon deposit of Twenty-five
Dollars ($25.00) per set, $25.00 of which deposit will be refunded upon the
return of each set in good condition within five (5) days after the contract
is awarded. Bidders are hereby notified that pursuant to Secticn,1770 of the
Labor Code of the State of California, the City Council of the City of Sari Rafael
has ascertained the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and rates for legal
holiday and overtime work in the locality where the work is to be performed, for
each craft or type of workmen or mechanics needed to execute the contract which
will be awarded the successful bidders. The prc.vailing rates so determined by
the City Council are on file in the Office of the City Clerk, copies of which
are available to any interested party on request.
Each bid shall be made out on the form to be obtained at the Office of the
City Treasurer, City Hall, San Rafael, California; and shall be accompanied
by cash, certified check or bidder's bond for ten percent (10%) of the amount
of the bid, made payable to the order of the City of San Rafael, Marin County,
California; shall be sealed and filed with said City Clerk at the City Hall,
San Rafael, California, on or before 10:00 o'clock A.M. on Friday, the
26th day of May, 1972.
The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any
informality in a bid.
