RESOLUTION SETTING PLAN CHECKING FEES AND GRADING PERMIT
FEES AS REQUIRED BY CHARTER ORDINANCE NO. 1062.
WHEREAS, effective June 5th 1972, the Council of the City of Sari
Rafael adopted Ordinance !;o. 1062 ; and,
WHEREAS said Ordinance No. 1062 provides that the Council of the City
of San Rafael adopt fees by resolution for the issuance of grading permits and fees
for the checking of plans that may be required for such grading permit.
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the City of San Rafael hereby resolves as
follows:
1. Effective July 5th , 1972 the Depart,:ent of Public Works shall
charge such fees as hereinafter- setforth.
2. Plan checking fee. Before accepting a set of plans and specifications for
checking, the City Engineer shall collect a plan checking fee. Seperate permits and
fees shall apply to retaining walls, or major drainage structures as indicated else-
where in. the Uniform Building Code.
The plan checr:ing fees shall. be:
Less than 250 cubic yards
250 to 1000 cubic yards
1001 to 10,000 cubic yards
109001 to 100,000 cubic yards
No fee

first 10,000 cubic yards plus $10.00 for each additional 10,000 cubic yards
or fraction_ thereof.
100,001 to 200,000 cubic yards
110.00 for the
first 100,000 cubic yards plus $5.00 for each additional 10,000 cubic yards
or fraction thereon.
200,001 cubic yards or more
170.00 for the
first 200,000 cubic yards plus $3.00 for each additional 10,000 cubic yards
or fraction thereof.
3. Grading Permit Fees. A fee for each gradin F, per. -it shall be paid to the
City Engineer as fol].Gws:

first 100 cubic yards plus $7.00 for each additional 100 cubic yards or
fraction thereof.
1001 to 10,000 cubic yards
78.00 for the
first 1000 cubic yards plus $6.00 for each additional 1000 cubic yards or
fraction thereof.
10,001 to 100,00 cubic yards
132.00 for the
first 10,000 cubic yards plus $27.00 for each additional 10,000 cubic
yards or fraction thereof.
100,001 cubic yards or more
375.00 for the
first 100,000 cubic yards plus $15.00 for each additional 10,000 cubic yards
or fraction thereof.
4. The fees for a plan check or grading permit authorizing additional work
to that under a valid permit.shall be the difference between the fee paid for the
original permit and the fee shown for the entire project.
5. Where, work for which a permit is required is started or proceeded with
prior to obtaining required permits, the fees specified shall be doubled, but t'ie
payment of such double fee shall not relieve any persons from fully complying with
the grading ordinance in the execution of the work nor from any other penalties
prescribed therein,

foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting
of the Council of the City of San Rafael held on the 15th day of � May ,
