RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
OF THE COUNTY OF MARIN TO PERMIT THE COUNTY CLERK
OF THE COUNTY OF MARIN TO RENDER SPECIFIED SERVICES
RELATING TO THE CONDUCT OF AN ELECTION
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael will hold a special
municipal election on the 19th day of September, 1972; and
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael desires that the County
Clerk of the County of Marin render the services hereinafter speci-
fied relating to the conduct of said special municipal election.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
1. The City of San Rafael herewith requests the Board
of Supervisors of the County of Marin to permit the County Clerk of
the County of Marin to render the hereinafter specified services to
the City of San Rafael relating to the conduct of said special muni-
cipal election.
2. The City of San Rafael shall reimburse the County of
Marin for the cost of said services.
3. Said specified services are:
a. Provide voter indexes;
b. Provide voter count by precinct;
C. Provide polling place cards;
d. Arrange for drayage of polling place equipment;
e. Mail sample ballots and inserts;
f. Arrange for printing of arguments for or
against measure;
g. Arrange for printing of sample and official
ballots;
h. Appoint and notify election officers;
i. Procure precinct polling places;
j. Order precinct supplies;
k. Issue and canvass absentee ballots;
1. Such other services as are necessary to conduct
the municipal election.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly
and regularly adopted by the City Council of the City of San Rafael,
Marin County, California, at a regular meeting thereof, held on the
3rd day of July, 1972, by the following vote, to wit:

NOES: Councilmen None
ABSENT: Councilmen Mayor Bett i n i
