RESOLUTION ORDERING CLOSING, ABANDONING
AND VACATING VARIOUS EASEMENTS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Rafael on the 21st
day of August , 19&72 , adopted Resolution No. 4287
entitled RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE VARIOUS EASEMENTS; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution was posted as required by law; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works of the City of San Rafael,
California, conspicuously posted notices of easement vacation as required by law;
and
WHEREAS, a hearing was had this day as required by law and said
Resolution No. 4287
, at which hearing the Council of the City of San
Rafael heard evidence offered by persons interested; and
WHEREAS, it appears from all of the evidence submitted that the
following described easements are unnecessary for present or prospective
public use;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED as follows:
1. That the following described easements are unnecessary for
present or prospective public use;
2. That the following described easements are hereby ordered
closed, abandoned and vacated;
3. That the easements closed, abandoned and vacated are described
on Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
I, MARION A. GRADY , Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and
adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of San Rafael held
on the 18th day of September , 19H 72 , by the following vote,
to -wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN : Barbier, Miskimen, Mulryan and Acting Mayor Jensen
NOES: COUNCILMEN : None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN : Mayor Bettini

DESCRIPTION OF 30 FOOT WIDE LEVEE EASEMENT TO BE ABANDONED
ON ASSESSOR'S PARCEL NUMBERS 9-01-14 AND 9-022-05 & 06
An easement 30 feet in width, the center line of which is described
as follows:
BEGINNING at a point upon the northeasterly line of Lot 1, in
Block 30 as said lot and block are shown upon that certain map
entitled, "Map of East San Rafael, Marin County, California" filed
January 21, 1908 in the office of the County Recorder, County of
Marin in Book 2 of Iliaps, at pane 10;; said point being distant
thereon North 69° 321 blest, 50 feet from the easterly corner of
the said lot; Chance South 14° 21' blest, 461 feet; South 15° L16'
west, 566.45 feet; South 17° LE9' blest, 381.28 feet; South 9° 48'
West, 548.54 feet and South 1° 38' 4'est, 142 feet, more or less,
to a point upon the southwesterly line of Lot 9 of the said Block
30.
