RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
RAFAEL CONFIRMING CANVASS BY CITY CLERK OF
THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL OF SPECIAL MUNICIPAL
BOND ELECTION
WHEREAS, the City Clerk of the City of San Rafael has
duly canvassed or caused to be canvassed the votes cast in the City of
San Rafael (hereinafter called the "City") at the special municipal
bond election held on September 19, 1972, in the City, by the electors
of the City upon the measure hereinafter set forth, and has certified
to this Council the result of the votes cast at said election upon
said measure, which said certification is now on file in the office
of the City Clerk of the City,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of San Rafael as follows:
1. Said canvass by said City Clerk as shown by said
certification and the result of said election is hereby ratified, con-
firmed and approved.
2. At said election the following measure was submitted
to the electors of the City and the number of votes cast in the City
for and against said measure was as follows:
MEASURE: Shall the City of San Rafael, County
of Marin, State of California, incur
(Acquisition of Open a bonded indebtedness in the princi-
Space) pal amount of $2,250,000.00 for the
purpose of raising money for the
acquisition of "open space" or "open area" for the use and enjoyment
of the people of San Rafael?
3. The total number of votes cast in the City at said
election and the total number of votes given in each precinct and by
absentee voters of the City for and against said measure was and is
set forth in said canvass by said City Clerk.
4. More than 2/3 of all of the votes cast at said
special municipal bond election on said Measure were in favor of said

measure and said measure carried.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 25th day of September by the
following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Barbier, Jensen, Mulryan and Mayor Bettini
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Miskimen
