RESOLUTION NO. 4400
RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION
FOR
BRIAN D. BODILY
WHEREAS, BRIAN D. BODILY has been presented the annual "Peace
Officer of the Year" award by the Marin County Peace
Officers' Association; and
WHEREAS, the honor has been bestowed upon Police Officer Bodily
for heroic action on the evening of February 13, 1972
when he unselfishly endangered his life to rescue and
carry an unconscious fire victim to safety; and
WHEREAS, on the morning of July 2, 1972 he again displayed im-
mense presence of mind and valor while apprehending
an armed suspect,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council on
behalf of the citizens of this community hereby commend
BRIAN D. BODILY for courageous performance over
and above the line of duty which has brought great price
to the City of San Rafael and the San Rafael Police De-
partment.
I, MARION A. GRADY, Clerk of the City of San Rafael hereby certify
that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly in-
troduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council
of said City held on Monday, the 5th day of March, 1973
by the following vote, to -wit:
