A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SIGNING
OF A LEASE OR AGREEMENT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL HEREBY RE-
SOLVES as follows:
The MAYOR and CITY CLERK are authorized to execute,
on behalf of the City of San Rafael a lease or agreement with
Marin Municipal Water District - to enlarge existing 6" pressure
valve to 12" size (Mitchell Boulevard at the Frontage Road)
a copy of which is hereby attached and by this reference made
a part hereof.
1, MARION A. GRADY, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and re-
gularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting
of the Council of said City held on Monday the 7th
day of May 19 73 , by the following vote, to -
with:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Jensen, Miskimen, Mulryan, Nixon and MayorBettini.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None.

A G R E E M E N T
THIS AGREEMENT, made this 11th day of April, 1973, by and
between MARIN MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, a pu;-.lic corporation, herein-
after called "District", and the City of San Rafael hereinafter
called "Applicant",
W I T N E S S E T H:
THAT, WHEREAS, Applicant has requested a fireline extension
under District's Ordinance No. 90 to enlarge the existing 6" pressure
regulating valve on Mitchell Boulevard at the Frontage Road to a full
size 12" regulator and;
WHEREAS, the total estimated cost of this installation is
$8,070.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PARTIES HERETO DO COVENANT AND AGREE:
1. The installation applied for and all work done in connection
therewith, shall be done by District's own forces.
2. District shall share one-half of the cost of installation, not
to exceed $8,086.00; that amount being equal to the City of San Rafael
matching fund credit.
3. Immediately upon completion of installation, all right, title
and interest in these facilities shall be vested in District.
GIVEN UNDER our respective hands and seals the day and year
hereinabove first written.
