RESOLUTION OF CONSENT TO THE FORMATION
OF A COUNTY SERVICE AREA NO. 18
WHEREAS, the LAFCO of the County of Marin has accepted and
approved the formation of County Service Area No. 18
in Santa Margarita -Las Gallinas area for Park and
Recreation Services; and
WHEREAS, County Service Area No. 18 would provide a direct
recreational benefit to San Rafael residents; and
WHEREAS, County Service Area No. 18 encompasses a portion
of the City of San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, Section 25210.10a of the Government Code states that
any part of a city may be included in the formation of
a county service area if a resolution of consent is adopted
by a majority vote of the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL resolves that it
consents to the formation of County Service Area No.18
by the Marin County Board of Supervisors.
I, MARION A. GRADY, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby cer-
tify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the
Council of said City held on Monday the 18th
day of June, 1973 by the following vote, to -wit.
AYES: Councilmen: Jensen, Miskimen, Nixon and Mayor Bettini
NOES: Councilmen: None
ABSENT: Councilmen: None
ABSTAINED: Councilmen: Mul ryan
