RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION
FOR
JOHN ROSENTANGLE
WHEREAS, JOHN ROSENTANGLE has diligently and conscien-
tiously served the City of San Rafael Police Depart-
ment for the past twenty-five years; and
WHEREAS, after long and faithful service to the citizens of this
community, Officer Rosentangle has voluntarily
elected to take a well-deserved retirement; and
WHEREAS, in performance of his duties and responsibilities
this fine officer has on many occasions endangered
his own safety protecting the well-being of his fellow
man, one recent occasion being the severe physical
injury he suffered during an outbreak of mob violence;

WHEREAS, "Rosy's" presence in the department will be sorely
missed by both his co-workers and other members
of the City staff, whose respect and friendship he has
gained over these many years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of
the City of San Rafael hereby commends JOHN ROSEN-
TANGLE and designates this fine officer as "Honorary
Sergeant" wishing him "good fishing" as well as a
happy and healthy retirement.
I, MARION A. GRADY, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and
regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting
of the Council of said City held on Monday the 18th
day of June, 1973 by the following vote, to -wit:
AYES: COUNCILMAN Jensen, Miskimen, Mulryan, Nixon and Mayor Bettini.
NOES:
None.
ABSENT: None.
