A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SIGNING
OF A LEASE OR AGREEMENT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL HEREBY RE-
SOLVES as follows:
The MAYOR and CITY CLERK are authorized to execute,
on behalf of the City of San Rafael a lease or agreement with
Independent Journal - Publication of Legal Notices 1973-1974
a copy of which is hereby attached and by this reference made
a part hereof.
I, MARION A. GRADY, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and re-
gularly in.trQduced and adopted at a regular meeting
of the Council of said City held on Monday the 16th
day of July 19 73 , by the following vote, to -
with.

inafter referrer; to as "City," and CALIFORNIA NEWSPAPERS, INC., a
corporziticn, hereinafter referred to as "California,"
W I T N E S S E T ;3:
H11IERHMS, City is required by law to publish various iters in
a newspaper of general circulation; and
,MEREAS, California is a newspaper of aeneral circulation; and
WHEREAS, State law recTui.res that City obtain hick for its'
publications; anu
WHEREJiS, the City Cleric of the City of. San Rafael has requested
that bius3 be subr-;itted for Citv's fiscal year of 1973-74; and

for the publication of said items.
NOW, TI 1,3REFORE, IT IS AGREED AS FOLLOTIS :
1. California hereby agrees to publish during Ci tv's fiscal
year of 1973-74, as r_erluirec1 by lalw or as designated by the Citv
Clerk anv and all items requested by the rite of San Rafael and
will charge City.for such publications as follows:
(a) First publication, $2.25 ver columnar inch.
(b) Subsequent publications, $1.75 per columnar inch.
