A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SIGNING
OF A LEASE OR AGREEMENT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL HEREBY RE-
SOLVES as follows:
The MAYOR and CITY CLERK are authorized to execute,
on behalf of the City of San Rafael a lease or agreement with
Marin Suburban Newspapers, Inc. - Publication of Legal
Notices 1973-1974
a copy of which is hereby attached and by this reference made
a part hereof.
I, MARION A. GRADY, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and re-
gularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting
of the Council of said City held on Monday the 16th
day of july 19 73 , by the following vote, to -
with.
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Jensen, Mulryan and Acting Mayor Miskimen
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Nixon and Mayor Bettini

AGREEMENT FOR NEWS PUBLICATIONS
THIS AGREEMENT entered into on the 16th day of ju'y ^,
1973, between the CITY OF SAN PAFAEL, a municipal corporation, here-
inafter referred to as "City," and MARIN SUBURBAN NEWS, INC. , here-
inafter referred to as "Suburban,"
W I T N E S a E T H:
?1-1I,REAS, the City is reauir_ed by law to publish various iters
in a newspaper of general circulation; andi
l- .1 Suburban is a newspaper of general circulation; and
WKEREAS, State law requires that Citv obtain bias .for its'
publications; and
WHERIEAS, the City Clerk of the Citv of can Rafael has requested
that bids be submitted for city's fiscal year of 1973-74; and
T-1111EREAS, a bice was submitted by Suburban and the Mayor and
City Clerk were autherixed to enter into a ccntract with Suburban
for the publication of said items.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS AGP.r:ED AS rOLLCfJS :
1. Suburban hereby agrees to publish during City's fiscal
year of 1973-74, as required by law or as designated by the City
Clerk any and all items requested by the City of San Rafael and
will charge City for such publications as follows:
(a) First publication, $2.25 per columnar inch.
(b) Subsequent publications, $1.75 per columnar. inch.
