RESOLUTION NO. 4543
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
RATIFYING THE CITY MANAGER'S LETTER OF JULY 18, 1973 TO THE
MARIN COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY.
BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Rafael hereby
ratifies the City Manager's letter dated July 18, 1973, to the Marin
County Historical Society, a copy of which is attached hereto and by
this reference made a part hereof.
I, MARION A. GRADY, City Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
California, HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly and
regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council
of said City held on the 6th day of August, 1973, by the following vote,
to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Jensen, Nixon and Acting Mayor Miskimen.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Mulryan and Mayor Bettini.

Re: Louise A. Boyd Museum House
aka Boyd Park Lodge
Dear Mr. Galli:
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Marin have expressed
concern regarding the use of the Boyd Park Lodge by the His-
torical Society as a museum. They feel that the Marin Historical
Society should be free to use the lodge as a museum for some fu-
ture period.
The City Council of the City of San Rafael also feels that this
privilege should be afforded to the Society and, therefore, we
are taking this opportunity to write you this letter assuring
the Marin Historical Society the use of Boyd Park -Lodge subject
only to the conditions as set forth by the Parks &'Recreation
Commission in its letter to Mr. Thomas Peryam on December 31,
1957, copy of which is enclosed.
By this letter, the City of San Rafael
Historical Society that they shall have
Lodge through at least June 30, 1974.
