HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Resolution 4560RESOLUTION NO. 4560 RESOLUTION AFFIRMING THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL IN CONNECTION 14ITH STREET NAME OF ANDERSEN DRIVE FOR NEW STREET IN THE EAST SAN RAFAEL AREA AND THE MIDDLE SEGMENT OF JACOBY STREET; AND THE RENAMING OF THE NORTHERLY SEGMENT OF JACOBY STREET TO FRANCISCO BOULEVARD WEST. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of San Rafael, on the 22nd day of May, 1973, recommended the new street being constructed in connection with the East San Rafael Drainage Assessment District No. 1 and the middle segment of Jacoby Street from Simms Street running northwesterly to its right angle juncture with the northerly segment of Jacoby Street be named Andersen Drive, in memory of the City's past City Manager; and the northerly segment of Jacoby Street from the right angle juncture to Francisco Boulevard be renamed Francisco Boulevard •lest; and WHEREAS, the matter came on regularly for consideration by the City Council of the City of San Rafael on the 20th day of August, 1973; and WHEREAS, evidence, both oral and documentary, was produced and good cause appearing therefor; NOW THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED that the new street being constructed in conjunction with the East San Rafael Drainage Assessment District No. 1 is hereby named Andersen Drive, effective immediately; and IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the middle segment of Jacoby Street from Simms Street running northwesterly to its right angle juncture with the northerly segment of Jacoby Street is hereby renamed Andersen Drive; and the northerly segment of Jacoby Street from the right angle juncture to Francisco Boulevard is hereby renamed Francisco Boulevard West; said changes to be effective February 20, 1974. I, MARION A. GRADY, City Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of San Rafael held on the 20th day of August, 1973, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: COUNCILMEN: Miskimen, Mulryan, Nixon and Mayor Bettini.
