RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN RAFAEL ORDERING THE DETACHMENT OF TERRITORY
FROM SAID CITY.
WHEREAS, Parasol has heretfore initiated proceedings for
the detachment of certain territory from the City of San Rafael,
said territory being designated as Parasol Detachment, more
particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and in-
corporated herein; and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council that said
detachment will be for the interest of the land owner and the
City; and
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of San Rafael has
received notification of approval of this detachment without
notice of hearing or election from the Local Agency Formation
Commission dated the 31st day of May , 1973.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
That the detachment of that territory known as
Parasol described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
incorporated herein is hereby ordered;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
That said detachment shall be subject to no
terms or conditions;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
That the City Clerk of the City of San Rafael
be, and is hereby ordered to file copies of this Reso-
lution with those certain_ agencies as required by law.

introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of
said City held on the 17th day of September , 1973, by
the following vote, to -wit:

All that certain real property situate in the City of San Rafael, County of
Marin, State of California, described as follows:
BEGINNING at the Easterly corner of the parcel of land conveyed by Alan M. Kay,
et ux, to V. John Mountz, et ux, by Deed recorded April 23, 1962 in Book 1563
of Official Records, at page 347; Marin County Records, running thence along
the Northeasterly line thereof, North 590 49' 30" West (called North 610 Ol'
40" West in said Deed), 365.53 feet, thence leaving said Northeasterly line, South
830 08' West 125.00 feet, thence South 570 40' West 82.00 feet, thence South 380
09' West 56.00 feet, thence South 470 10' West 8,00 feet, thence on a curve to the
left of radius 25.00 feet, through a central angle of 500 241, an arc distance
of 21.99 feet, thence South 30 14' East 19.00 feet, thence South 670 30' West
47.50 feet, thence South 240 00' 35" West 132.45 feet to the Northwest corner
of Lot 56, as shown on that certain map entitled, "Map of Rafael Highlands
Unit Two, San Rafael, California," filed for record January 20, 1956 in Book 9
of Maps, at page 13, Marin County Records, thence along the Northerly line of
said Lot 56, North 890 15' East 150.11 feet to the Northeast cornp-r thereof,
thence North 490 33' 25" East 121.25 feet, thence South 840 32' East 393.00 feet
to a point on the Southeasterly line of the parcel mentioned above, as conveyed
to Mountz, thence along said Southeasterl' ' line, North 300 10' 30" East (called
North 280 58' 20" East in Deed to Mountz�, 100.00 feet to the point of beginning.
