RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING SAN
RAFAEL TOWN MEETING DAY
WHEREAS, the San Rafael Town Meeting Association will hold its second
annual meeting on October 13, 1973 at Terra Linda High School;
and,
WHEREAS, one of the purposes of the Town Meeting is to discuss problems
affecting the general welfare of San Rafael; and,
WHEREAS, the Town Meeting has as another of its goals the encouragement
of citizen participation in local government; and,
WHEREAS, in furtherance of its purposes, the San Rafael Town Meeting
Association has been instrumental in promoting the helpful in-
volvement of citizens in governmental and other civic organiza-
tions; and,
WHEREAS, as a result of its goals and achievements, the San Rafael Town
Meeting Association has proven to be of benefit to the general
welfare and betterment of San Rafael; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of all citizens of San Rafael for
them to participate in the Town Meeting;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of San Rafael does hereby
declare October 13, 1973 as SAN RAFAEL TOWN MEETING DAY, and
urges all citizens to attend and to take an active part in
the Town Meeting.
I, MARION A. GRADY, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that
the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and
adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of said
City held on Monday , the 17th day of September, 1973
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Jensen, Miskimen, Mulryan, Nixon and Mayor Bettini
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None
