A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SIGNING
OF A LEASE OR AGREEMENT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL HEREBY RESOLVES as
foIIows;
The MAYOR and CITY CLERK are authorized to execute, on
behalf of the City of San Rafael a lease or agreement with
the County of Marin (for Library Bookmobile Services)
A copy of which is hereby attached and by this reference made a
part hereof.
1, MARION A. GRADY, City Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the
City Council of said City held on Monday the 15th
day of October 19 73 by the following vote,
to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Miskimen, Nixon and Mayor Bettini.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Jensen and Mulryan.

AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT is made between the COUNTY OF MARIN, a
Political subdivision of the State of California, hereinafter
referred to as "County", and the CITY OF SAN RAFAEL, a political
subdivision of the State of California, hereinafter referred to
as "City."
W I T N E S S E T H:
I. County is desirous of securing for the members of
the Marin County Library the same privileges as are granted to,
or enjoyed by, the members of the San Rafael Library.
2. City is desirous of securing for members of the San
Rafael Library the same privileges as are granted to, or enjoyed by,
the members of the Marin County Library.
3. City is desirous of having County provide its Bookmobile
service to the Peacock Gap, Glenwood and Bayside Acres area and Terra Linda.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS AGREED as follows:
I. The members of the Marin County Library shall enjoy
the same privileges of the San Rafael Library as are granted to, or
enjoyed by, the members of the San Rafael Library.
2. The members of the San Rafael Library shall enjoy the
same privileges of the Marin County Library as are granted to, or
enjoyed by, the members of the Marin County Library.
3. County shall provide Bookmobile services for the Glenwood,
Peacock Gap and Bayside Acres areas in the City of San Rafael, for
a minimum of two hours per day on the first and third Thursdays of
each month. The County shall also provide service to Terra Linda
in the City of San Rafael, for a minimum of two hours every Monday.
4. City shall pay to County an amount not to exceed $2,934.00
per year for the services provided for herein by County. The actual
amount to be paid shall be determined and based on the actual cost. '
Account shall be taken of the use of said Bookmobile by members of

the Marin County Library living in the unincorporated San Rafael en -

5. County shall provide once each year on or before the
15th day of March an estimate to reflect cost to City of the use of
said Bookmobile. Said estimate to be based on actual anticipated
costs. If no estimate is provided as indicated, the prior year's rate
shall prevail.
6. This Agreement shall commence on the 1st day of July,
1973, and shall continue in full force and effect thereafter from
fiscal year to fiscal year (July 1 to June 30) unless cancelled by
either party giving written notice to the other at least ninety (90)
days prior to the close of any fiscal year.
