RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER IN COOPERATION
WITH THE LIBRARY BOARD TO ASSESS POTENTIAL SITES FOR
A NEW MAIN LIBRARY.
WHEREAS, the existing library has inadequate parking, which
problem will be compounded if the present building is expanded; and
WHEREAS, the need for a greatly increased main library
facility is recognized by this Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Manager, in
cooperation with the Library Board, is directed to assess potential sites
for a new main library and to report their findings with cost estimates
and other related data to this Council.
I, MARION A. GRADY, City Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
Adjourned
introduced and adopted atan/regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of San Rafael, held on the 29th day of October, 1973, by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Jensen, Miskimen, Nixon and Mayor Bettini.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Mulryan.
