A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SIGNING
OF A LEASE OR AGREEMENT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL HEREBY RESOLVES as
fol lows :
The MAYOR and CITY CLERK are authorized to execute,
on behalf of the City of San Rafael a lease or agreement with
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF MARIN. AND THE COUNTY OF MARIN ,
a copy of which is hereby attached and by this reference made a
part hereof. (AGREEMENT FOR THE PURCHASE OF A.P. NO. 178-152-29
AS TAX -DEEDED PROPERTY FROM THE COUNTY OF MARIN)

FOR THE PURCHASE OF TAY DEEDED PROPERT BY THE CITY O
SAN RAFAEL FROM THE COU14TY OF MARIN Pu --'"6 T 21T TO

REVENUE AND TAXATION CODE.
THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this day of
`, 1973, by and between the CITY OF SAKI RAFAEL, a
municipal corporation, hereinafter called "City," and the BOARD
OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF PLhRIN, and the COUNTY OF MAr,1_.,
hereinafter jointly called the "Board,"
IV I T N E S S E T H:
WHEREAS, the Tax Collector of the County of Marin has deeded
to the State of California for delinquent taxes, all of those lots
or parcels of real property as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto and made a Part hereof as if set forth in full herein; and
WHERIEAS, such deed fo the State for taxes includes taxes
levied by the County of Marin and the City of San Rafael_, the taxes
of which on the property are collected by the County officers;
I,;HRREAS, City desires to purchase said real property from the
County and State:
NOW, TIIEREFORE, the parties hereto do hereby agree as follo:es :
1. The City agrees to pay to the Board the sum of Five Dollars
($5.00) as and for full consideration for the purchase of said real
property and promises and agrees to pay said sum forthwith upon -t-he
expiration of the redemption period provided by law, and in no event
later than the execution and delivery of a deed from the Tai: Collector
of the County of Plarin to the City, covering said real property.
2. The Beard agrees to sell said real property to the City for
the consideration above set forth, subject, howTever, to the approval
of the State Controller of the State of California and to redemption
rights and to take proceedings to eonsums,late such sale under the pro-
visions of Chapter 8, Part 6, Division 1 of the Revenue and. Tayation
Code of the State of California.

3. Upon the taking of said proceedings, the City agrees to
pay to the Board or to the County Tax Collector of the County of
l a.t:in, all publication an. -1 other costs of taking such proceedings
and agrees to parr such sun:is upon demand and in addition to the
consideration mentioned in paragraph 1 hereof
