RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO MAKE CHANGES IN THE COST OF
THE WORK AND ASSESSMENTS TO BE LEVIED IN MOORING ROAD
SEWER ASSESSMENT DISTRICT, CITY OF SAN RAFAEL,
MARIN COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, bids for the doing of the work in Mooring Road
Sewer Assessment District, City .of San Rafael, Marin County,
State of California, have been received, and the low bid is in
excess of the Engineer's Estimate of Cost in the matter of the
total cost of the work;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of San Rafael, as follows:
1. That it is the intention of said City Council to make
changes in the Engineer's Estimate of Cost and in the spread of
the assessment of such costs against the individual properties
benefiting therefrom;
2. That the total cost of the work will be increased from
the sum of $46,855.19, as previously set forth in the Engineer's
Report dated October 15, 1973, to the sum of $77,753.84, based upon
the lowest bid received;
3. That inasmuch as the assessment of individual properties
is based upon the benefit to such properties, and the cost of per-
forming the work is reflected in said assessment, it is proposed to
change the assessments proposed to be levied against the properties
in the District; this will result in increases in all assessments;
4. That notice is hereby given that Monday, the 21st day
of January, 1974, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M., at the meeting
place of the City Council of the City of San Rafael, located in
the City Hall, 1400 Fifth Avenue, San Rafael, California, shall be
the time and place when and where said City Council of the City of
San Rafael will consider and finally determine whether the said
changes in the cost of the work and in the spread of the assessment
shall be made; and is also fixed as the time and place when and
where all persons interested therein may be heard in connection with
said changes.
5. Said changes are proposed to be made in accordance with
the provisions of Chapter 4.5, Division 12 of the Streets and Highways
Code beginning at Section 10350.
6. The City Clerk of the City of San Rafael is hereby
authorized and directed to publish this Resolution once with said
publication to be at least ten (10) days prior to the date herein
fixed for hearing; and is further directed to cause a copy of this
Resolution to be mailed to the owners of all of the properties
located within the boundaries of said assessment district, said
notice to be mailed at least twenty (20) days prior to the date
fixed for hearing herein.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly
and regularly adopted by the City Council of the City of San Rafael,
Marin County, State of California, at a regular meeting thereof,
held on the 3rd day of December, 1973, by the following vote, to
wit:
