RESOLUTION DECLARING MAY 20-27, 1974 TO BE
SAN RAFAEL CENTENNIAL WEEK
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael will be 100 years old
in 1974, having been incorporated on February 18, 1874, and
WHEREAS, the centennial offers an unique opportunity
for San Rafael residents to examine the City's history, look to
its future, and promote the spirit of community solidarity and
neighborliness, and
WHEREAS, the San Rafael Centennial Committee is plann-
ing an observance culminating in a week-long celebration during the
week of May 20-27, 1974,
THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Rafael
hereby declares May 20-27, 1974, to be San Rafael Centennial Week,
and urges the participation of all residents in this civic celebra-
tion.
I, MARION A. GRADY, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
California hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of
the Council of said City held on the 3rd day of December ,
1973, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Jensen, Miskimen, Mulryan, Nixon and Mayor Bettini
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
