RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN RAFAEL DESIGNATING THE CITY COUNCIL AS THE
BOARD OF APPEALS UNDER THE UNIFORM FIRE CODE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 1.215 of Article 1 of the Uniform Fire
Code, as amended, in Title 19, Chapter 19.10 of the Municipal Code of the
City of San Rafael, an appeal may be made from the decision of the Chief
of the Fire Department to the City Council, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has not previously designated themselves
to be the Board of Appeals;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
San Rafael does hereby declare that pursuant to Section 1.215 of Article 1
of the Uniform Fire Code, as amended, in Title 19, Chapter 19.10 of the
Municipal Code of the City of San Rafael, all appeals from the decision
of the Fire Chief shall be to the City Council sitting as an Appeals Board
and hereby declare themselves to be that body.
I, MARION A. GRADY, City Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and
adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of Said City on Monday,
the 17th day of December, 1973, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Jensen, Miskimen, Mulryan, Nixon and Mayor Bettini.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None.
